if by HC/DM you're going to pull off what Monster X did years ago, then you've got the right idea. if you're trying to do this and you don't know who Monster X are, then give this up immediately and seek therapy.

Shit havent heard of that one in awhile. They were okay, i had one of their ep's, retty decent hardcore/grind from what i remember. They were straight edge as well. They also had a side band that was much better. they were either called dead baby or exploding corpse action, forgot which one.

I enjoy a good mosh, I just hate overly generic breakdowns like in As blood runs black. They sound too forced and drawn out. Glass Casket has been one of my top 10 favorite bands for about 4 years, and their breakdowns are done amazingly..

Slam riffs and breakdowns are good shit as long as the song isn't a build-up to a breakdown (most local "hardcore" acts).


Cryptopsy, for instance, especially on None So Vile, has sick slam parts but the rest of the song has something more to offer other than a good way to waste two minutes before Chuggachugchuh-chuchug-chugchugchug
