i just got an ibanez rg321, looking for something like the jb or tonezone with more articulation, pretty sure im gonna go with the duncan jazz in the neck, any suggestions?

it sounds like tonally you would be very satisfied with the duncan custom in the bridge. paired with the jazz it would be a good combo. if youre not set on duncans i would also take a look at the rio grande muy grande set.

You best bet is to paint over the ibanez logo on the headstock.

That would likely imporve the sound 10 fold.

yeah i was looking at the custom too, alot of reviews said it was more "rock" which is what i'm trying to stay away from, alot of reviewers dont know what theyre talking about though. is the jazz gonna get me that fluid soloing sound?

niccolai that is a pretty good idea too

i used a duncan custom for years in an old ltd of mine, i loved the way it sounded. the jazz will get you good solo sound, but if you're looking for (imo) one of the best neck pickups ive played, id look at the dimarzio air norton. it nails that fluid sound quite well.

yeah alot of people have suggested the air norton, do you know any other good bridge pickups from dimarzio or duncan? im mainly trying to get more definition/brightness/clarity

Dimarzio X2N

Likely the best metal bridge pickup in the world.

the duncan custom or the rio grande muy grande are exactly what you described tonally. i guess the closest dimarzio would be the paf pro, but thats a bit lower output than you want to go i think.
