i could see the logic in firing him for saying that he agreed with nazi ideals or something of that nature, but fucking christ...the nazis hired the best artists for their posters since good art appeals to people. there is nothing wrong with appreciating art, no matter what the message. the message is a different story.

i actually got into a debate with a classmate last year in a history of design class when we were going over war propaganda posters and how art ultimately aided war efforts for every country, provided that it was well composed. some of the art made for the nazis was really fucking good, and without it they probably wouldn't have been as successful since people react more to visuals than anything else. another student got pissed as all hell, thinking i was a nazi, when all he had to do was realize i was saying that they hired GOOD ARTISTS.

My father was showing me some shit on the news today about some PC bullshit. Some guy who owns a fence company is being pestered by the news. They're all in his face with the camera and interviewing handy-gimpers and shit because his sign in the front says "What's got 4 wheels and flies? A dead cripple in a wheelchair." I guess he puts a different joke up every day. The cripples are all on TV crying to the news and calling for boycotts of his company.

That's pretty silly.

i can't remember what comedian it was, but he made a joke about some guy in a wheelchair and ended the joke by saying "what are you going to do about it if i run up the stairs?" he said the guy was laughing his ass off, and had his own personal joke.

It seems like an illogical move to fire her, but the company is worried about it's personal appearence weather they think it's a big deal or not, they haveto worry about what the public thinks.

PC shit always gets me, but there was one particular article i read recently where a woman down in Florida was complaining about an advertisement for "The Vagina Monologues", she wanted them to change vagina to "hoo-ha" because she didn't want her DAUGHTER to see the word vagina. that really bothered me.
