PUTRESCINE, APOTHIS, BOUND IN ENTRAILS, TRADITION TO KILL, A LESSON IN HATE

@ the station. hope I'm not late...
some kids have been into RTTP since they were 15 and I'm the dick that is just getting up to shoot their band.

I walked up to the door and when there was no list and the guy said I would have to pay, I tried and then went outside and complained to carina. then I walked back in and said I shot for return to the pit and steve said "you didn't say that before" so I got in just in time! they have seriously re-worked this place. the sound is excellent and they built up the front of the stage. when I was walking in, it sounded like they were playing a CD. that's how good is sounds in here now.

putrescine: well, running in while they were playing (since they were the reason I came) was bitter sweet. Shw33t cause as I came in, they sounded CD perfect. Bitter cause my pictures of the first band always eat donkeyballs. That and I I missed a lot of their set. Everyone needs to re-check out their MS. The tracks there are good, sort of devourment/disgorge worship from what I remember. Excellent set. Also, there a ton of their friends out in the audience. The probably have themost people here for them

a lesson in hate: a lot of the putrescine kids left. This band looked like they were going to be a pantera-riff of band. They weren't really. It was prett decent music. Some parts where the vocals straiyed a little bit too much to the nu-metal almost rap sound. I kept thinking I shot them before... I think I saw a band with the bass, and possibly guitars. They all looked familiar. By the end of the set, one dude was the mosh pit. True story.

so it seems that I may have sent my camera into get fixed for nothing. It was going wicked low and high by a full exposure stop, but worse than it's been doing it lately. Turns out that I had a 5 stop bracket on my camera... I can't belive it. I hope that's the issue I've been having lately. Funny, even the repair people didn't notice it.

apothis: they ruled. People pitted it up for them, slamming me against the barricade quite a few times. They sound checked with a bunch of noodley prog sounding stuff, but then went into eye of the tiger. Once the sound check was over, they got into their own music. Some of it was like necrophagist, but most of the songs weren't that overly technical (although the guitar kept cutting out so I missed chunks of a couple sounds). I think there was something up with the cable cause the only sound problem the whole night was when they were playing. sounded fuzzy/crackling. Anyhow, it sounded a bit like necrophagist as I was typing, but there were bunches of borrowed or influenced riffs from early 90's headbanger's ball death metal (similar to what teratism did). A few parts durning the last song sounded like enslaved. That was weird, but cool.

Nikko (from the presents part on the flyer) introduced himself to be between the bands. Nice guy.

bound in entrails: I will try not to be overly critical about the fact that they have 2 singers that mostly could be done by one singer. They were pretty sick. A lot of that BEEPOBEEPOBEEPO goratory type stuff (note not breebree). I think they would complete fit on united gutteral. The guitarist broke a string and it ut a long pause in the middle. short songs all about disgusting things. People slammed around even more for them.some kid even lost and destroyed his glasses and then after he got them back, he lost them again. The fans almost acted like fanatorys. Awesome. Towards the end, there was some bass-riffs that jumped out to the front (like goratory/mucopus). Hard to believe that these dudes are from maine.

Wow, Steve Eye9d must have spent some bank on the sound system at the Station in Portland, Maine.

I bet he didn't ..He hordes money like a jew

well, if that's what it takes to get awesome sound then jew it up! it sounded so good in there.

tradition to kill: from the name, I figured it would be another pantera tribute band. Then the drummer started playing some sick cannibal corpse esque blast beats. I thought to myself "jebus, that's got to be the guy from molested senses." sure enough, it's either him or he stole that dudes custom made drum plate (and the mustached assistant). Holy cow! This night just get's cooler. Their set was good too. I want to check out the myspace now to give them another listen.
