All I can say is New Millenium Cyanide Christ = the balls

agreed

best album in my opinion, the songs sound so evil and bad ass. Especially Concatenation.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Sep 7,2007 12:44pm
the solo in Neurotica is fucking dominant.

toggletoggle post by Aegathis  at Sep 7,2007 12:49pm
i remember when they played metal fest in 01 while he was playing that solo his amp stopped working or his effects unit died or something. He still kept on tapping the whole thing out and managed to fix the problem. Unlike Jeff Loomis during the inside four walls solo in 03!

Love the album but the production could be better. Drums aren't loud enough. Even they said the recording was rushed.

i remember that show but i don't recall that happening. thats the one where Opeth played before them right? oooooh man i would give anything to see that now. that was an awesome metal fest.

saw them umpteen times on this tour. they fuckin' killed it live. while i prefer Destroy Erase Improve, i'd venture to say this was their last good album... or at least the last one i dig.

i like Catch 33, though i wish it was comprised of individiual songs. I or Aj is fucking amazing, i love that EP. yeah besides Chaosphere, Destroy Erase Improve is where its at. Contradictions Collapse sounded like a carbon copy of Master of Puppets era Metallica.

the None Ep was pretty good, couple good songs. I am still quite dissatisfied with Nothing to this day.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Sep 7,2007 1:25pm
oh yeah, i forgot about that one. for the same reason, i have never been satisifed with it. it was like they were trying way too hard to be Meshuggah.

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Sep 7,2007 4:47pm
i still remember the first time i heard the whole cd. i thought i was tripping my balls off by the end. so good. in fact i'm going to listen to it right now.

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Sep 7,2007 4:50pm
"I" is also a highly underrated and overlooked piece of brilliance. unfornutely like most cds i enjoy it was lost somehow.

toggletoggle post by mOe  at Sep 7,2007 5:16pm
I is pretty sweet, ya just gotta clear some time in yoru schedule to listen to it

toggletoggle post by ConquerTheBaphomet  at Sep 7,2007 5:22pm
Just listening to that today.

Their second best album next to Destroy.Erase.Improve.

I remember that as well. GREAT Metalfest that year. I got to see and hang with the Stampin' Ground boys which was a highlight and I met my then girlfriend during those two days.

Also, Chaosphere is in my opinion, their best album bar none.

I think that was the last metalfest I really enjoyed. I throw in Nothing every once in a while just to see if I'll come around to appreciating it but so far.....Nothing. I and Catch 33 are good albums but like moe said...clear some time in your schedule. I can't say I grab either of those albums when I want to hear Meshuggah. It's usually certain songs off the others. But yes...Chaosphere is an album well done. I'm more of a None and Destroy, Erase, Improve fan tho. Sickening still does it for me.
