Nomi was goofy as hell, but also a fantatic vocalist who was one of the main players in the NYC 80's avant-garde scene that nurtured a lot of bands that people here surely love. He did a lot of other really interesting stuff besides his cheesy synth-pop, definitely worth checking out.
