I have a php script calling a bash script.... how do I make the webpage not hang while the script is executing? Everything works fine except i have to reload the page to see the output...

it still hangs even when i nohup in a terminal... wtf?

the program in running uses the display of the remote machine so i tried...
DISPLAY=:0 nohup ./psclient
and it said appending to the nohup.out...

and all this is run as sudo so its not a permissions thing

solution was
DISPLAY=:0 ./psclient > /dev/null 2>&1 &
in the sh script... although i thought nohup did the same thing but it didnt work. o.O

i tried nohup as the first thing... and the DISPLAY command wouldnt work

does it make it funnier if i tell you im actually sitting in bed with a mac laptop
