This is the 5th year for "JAGFEST".... It'll be held at the ADC PERFORMANCE CENTER in Southbridge, Ma. on Saturday April 5th.

3 stages full of bands ranging from metal & hardcore to rap & blues.

This is an all ages event with alcohol!! Doors open at noon time and the show goes until 1am the next morning....

I was talking to one of the guys who works for them, and I guess I should say I hate that guy cuz I'm not sure if the rest of dirtnap is like him. But he was all saying that every local band should be able to bring at least 75 people to a show and in our case, since we drove about 2 hours to get to that show he said we should have brought at least 20 people. I told him to shut the fuck up right there, because it doesn't always work that way. Yeah we have friends but they all have jobs and other things to do and don't feel like driving 2 hours to see us play when they could see us two days later the next town over from them. After I said that, he said that if he'd known we were playing a show closer to our area two days later he wouldn't have booked us.

That, and the fact that they suck at promoting their shows. Apparently there were 3 flyers that dirtnap made for that show, but didn't send any out to any of the bands and didn't want the bands making their own flyers for it.

I dunno, maybe it was just that guy that ruined it for me, but if the rest of dirtnap is like him then I'm all set with them.

Hasn't Kenny Lanning worked with Dirtnap? If so, Dirtnap must be shit. Any promoter that expects EVERY local band to bring at least 75 people is a complete fucking moron.

yeah, that's ridiculous. 75 people, ha. judging by the bands on the flyer for this show, most of whom i've never heard of or don't like, dirtnap is crap. i doubt any of the bands on that bill will be bringing 75 people to the show.

I bet it will be packed, but it's going to be middle-aged drunks who want to scope out underage tail, and underage tail that are friends with the bands (e.g. Scarecrow Hill's "Hill Dolls").

That and the younger bands are probably having the parents and grandparents come so they have some extra tickets sold and it looks like they brought people. When we played with Psyopus last year they didn't even draw 75 people and they're on fucking metal blade. What kind of local band is gonna draw 75 if a band on metal blade barely can?

Talked to Harley Flanagan from Harley' War/Cro-Mags today.... They'll be playing mostly everything from the first two Cro-Mags albums and may'be one for me off of Alpha Omega....

I'm working on NUCLEAR ASSAULT for "LOUDFEST" this year and may'be D.R.I. "LOUDFEST" will be August 16th at the Haverhill Stadium.

Any chance you could put The Summoned on Loudfest?

things are looking promising for a Sac reformation. hopefully. those Concerts for Charity shows were always a good time, usually the lineups were shitty but the turnout was good.

except for that one where they made us go on at 1:20 in the morning but we still had the biggest and rowdiest crowd of the night. and people got arrested.
