GAGGLE OF COCKS HAS SIGNED A RECORD DEAL!

In the year of the underdog the seemingly impossible keeps happening!

The Giants beat the unbeaten Patriots for a Super Bowl title, a Beagle won the Westminster Dog Show and by the end of the year, the US will have elected either an African American or a senior citizen for President…but the biggest shocker of 'em all?

gaggle of cocks has signed a record deal!

They said it couldn't be done, they said it would never happen, not with a name like gaggle of cocks…but Screaming Ferret Wreckords is proving 'em wrong. GOC's incendiary debut CD, American Trash has been officially released worldwide by Screaming Ferret Wreckords.

So, go buy a genuine, good ol' piece of American Trash, crack open a PBR, crank it up and remember, "If you promote the cancer, you become the cancer! We are the Pigz of Agony!" gaggle of cocks (GOC) emerged from the bowels of NYC's lower east side music scene in 2001.

They fought their way to the top of a pecking order that included such New York City underground icons as The Bullys and The Toilet Boys. Within a year GOC was hammering it out regularly at such legendary clubs as CBGBs, The Continental, Don Hills and L'Amour. In 2002 GOC self-financed and independently released their debut CD, American Trash (produced and engineered by Ron Allaire). Upon its release, American Trash was hailed as "music to drive a tank to" by dudethatrocks.com.

Sleazegrinder.com said that gaggle of cocks sound like "freshly killed steers ripping loose from their hooks." Texas' The Edge Magazine described gaggle of cocks as being "nestled somewhere between Dixie Witch and Kyuss" while numerous other reviews have made comparisons to bands such as Brand New Sin, Corrosion of Conformity (COC), Circus of Power, Circus of Power singing COC songs, Clutch and both old-school Metallica and Load and Reload-era Metallica. (For a complete rundown of these reviews please see "What People Are Saying About GOC").

In 2007, after years of grinding it out in NYC, gaggle of cocks signed with Screaming Ferret Wreckords, a Manchester, New Hampshire-based indie label (www.screamingferret.com). Screaming Ferret will officially re-release American Trash in August '08, making it available worldwide for the first time.

Comprised of veteran musicians, GOC includes guitarist/vocalist Pat Harrington, bassist Freddy Villano and newest addition, drummer John Macaluso. Harrington played in SLUNT (Repossession Records) with former MTV VJ Abby Gennet. SLUNT toured nationally and internationally with Motorhead, Paul Stanley, Marilyn Manson and others. Villano is a veteran of such heavy-hitters as Quiet Riot and Widowmaker (featuring Dee Snider of Twisted Sister fame). Macaluso has been the backbone of numerous world-renown artists and bands, including Yngwie Malmsteen, Ark and TNT.

In addition to promoting the release of American Trash, gaggle of cocks recently teamed up with guitarist Chris Goercke (of Kelly Osbourne Shut Up fame) and began writing and recording material for a new record.

Screaming Ferret is also planning to release the 5-song EP 5 Shots to the Vein later in '08. Recorded before American Trash, under the moniker Injekshun, 5 Shots to the Vein melds GOC's incendiary brand of ass-kicking hard rock with the hip hop lyrical attack of NY rap trio, SESH Tribe.

Until then, look for gaggle of cocks on tour this year in support of American Trash and look for the CD in a record store near you. Or, log on to www.screamingferret.com and buy it there!

Long live American Trash!

Here's what people are already saying:

Not since Melvins, Antiseen, Dwarves, Butthole Surfers and Agony Column has a band sounded so incendiary; gaggle of cocks are writing some of the freshest, nastiest, most amusing beer-soaked stompers in years. (Martin Popoff, Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles)

Ever since I heard American Trash I've had their songs in my head. (www.whitetrashdevil.com)

The band crafts some heavy, pounding metal tunes that you won't soon forget. If there were any justice, "Bomb Me" would be wrecking radios instead of that syrupy Nickelback bullshit.

These guys make the term "power-trio" sound inadequate. (New York Waste)

The songs fill you with power and toughness. A definite must have on the monster truck circuit. (The Edge Magazine)

This New York trio cranks out some serious, ass-kicking rock. (Impact Press)

American Trash is the record to rage out to. ( www.sleazegrinder.com)

If you like hard riffage with a bit of old school thrash then you should check these guys out. ( www.fishcomcollective.net)

There's always a good riff just around the corner. (The Sound Monitor)

The Cocks come out hard. If you're not prepared it's like getting hit in the privates with a bat. ( www.godsofmusic.com)

Street-level attitude is part of GOC's roots in punk and scum rock. (Good Times Magazine)

Sludgy, Ozzfest-esque metal. (Punk Planet)

Southern-fried, down 'n dirty, beer-swillin' rock. (Metal Maniacs)

Standout tracks include "Horse 44," "Bomb Me," "My Little Hell," and "Loading." (www.sleazeroxx.com)

Seriously, this is probably one of the best "heavy" CDs I have ever heard. There is only one way to describe the music on this CD: Music to drive a tank to. (www.dudethatrocks.com)
