Anyone ever read about this?
It's a spectral analysis from an Aphex Twin song. It shows a picture of Richard James face when the soundwave is analyzed. Crazy, huh?

yeah, a few bands have done this... usually sounds like noise but it's a neat easter egg

I can't stand Aphex Twin. It just sounds like a guy trying to show off what he can do with a recording program. If I'm going to listen to music in that same vein, I throw on Boards of Canada or Bibio. Cool sounds AND cool music.

Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works are great. They're up there with Autechre's earlier material.

I'd second that. Fripp/Eno beats their ass, but still a strong showing.

Thirded.
Eno/Tangerine Dream NEED to be mentioned, too.

Biosphere and Lord Wind need mention too.
And actually -- the first Neptune Towers isn't bad either.
