The Browns have decent personnel. They have the ability to beat good teams when they're playing to their potential. But Mangini is just going to perpetuate the one big problem they've had for years: no infrastructure. This is why they couldn't make the playoffs last season, this is why they can't deal with injuries, this is why they have no idea who their starting quarterback will be, this is why they have more staph infections than any other team in the league. And to solve it they went out and hired the least competent, least accessible candidate on the market short of Al Davis picking up a clipboard.

And in answer to the question above, yes, we are now to hate the Cleveland Browns.

Well, I wouldn't mind hating the Browns. I hate the Cavs and I don't like the Indians... so it makes sense.

PFT brought up a great point. The Browns rushed into hiring Mangini before they had a GM because they didn't want to wait until the good coaching candidates were taken. Yet, nobody, not one single team had expressed even the slightest bit of interest in Mangini.

Not to mention the fact that with Mike Shanahan, Josh McDaniels, and maybe even Brian Billick on the coaching market they made a Carl Lewis sprint to get a guy who wasn't even good enough to coach the Jets.
