I saw that pictured shark from the Monterey Bay Acquarium back in '04. At the time it was the only Great White in captivity in the US. Not sure if that's still true.

Thing was brutal. Really intense seeing an animal like that 1' in front of your face staring at you. I asked an employee what they fed it, and IIRC, they dropped steaks and shit like that into the tank.

i'm wondering if the abundance of seals has taken claim over the Bluefish spawns this season-because Bluefish have totally disappeared from new bedford harbor all the way to the islands and the cape. Bluefish are a considered a trash fish because they dominate these waters throughout the year, however at this time in the season you will typically see packs of gulls working off the blue's feeding frenzies, but i've yet to see anything for the past month.

3 sharks were in the lineup on nantasket last tuesday at dawn patrol. Def saw a seal as I hit the water. Doesn't bother me one bit...because of the seal protection act that was initiated in the 90's seal populations are out of control..which brings them to areas that they would not normally be..same case for the sharks.
