God does not exist and the Bible is but a mere fairytale.

The law of this country, however, clearly states that the citizens have a right to have arms in this country. We are the most armed country in the world - be prepared to use them.

Military action is increasing all over the country, I've seen more HUM V's driving around than I have before, and have also seen formation of jets fly over head.

Funny thing is, reports of this crap are popping up all over the country.

fun fact, when you die, god has to sodomize you every year or you go to hell.

If the Bible stated it, it'd be "God given right" to own a spear.
In that case, someone should impale Jay Severin with a spear and tell him it was the word of god.

I like Massachusetts the state, but think the government is extremely corrupt. Just about every state is, but MA is definitely in the top 5 for worst state governments. If that is real gold on the dome of the statehouse, I'm not surprised some of the stingy politicians have been up there taking it off due to the fact that gold is not over $1000 and oz.

they do that in NH, it's called a back ground check.

The the problem with mass is that you can't get a gun unless you are a hunter or a rich man, try owning a gun being a man living in the inner city, they'll think you're a terrorist or a white supremacist/gangster depending on your skin tone

Please, find me the biblical line that this comes from. I haven't read the old testament for probably 10 years.

Exodus 22:2-3 tells us "If the thief is found breaking in, and he is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt for his bloodshed. If the sun has risen on him, there shall be guilt for his bloodshed. He should make full restitution; if he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft."

We must also consider what Christ told his disciples in his last hours with them: "...But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a sack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one" (Luke 22:36). Keep in mind that the sword was the finest offensive weapon available to an individual soldier -- the equivalent then of a military rifle today.

The Israelite army was a militia army (Numbers 1:3, ff.) which came to battle with each man bearing his own weapons -- from the time of Moses, through the Judges, and beyond. When threatened by the Midianites, for example, "Moses spoke to the people , saying, 'Arm some of yourselves for the war, and let them go against the Midianites to take vengeance for the Lord on Midian'" (Numbers 31:3). Again, to demonstrate the Biblical heritage of individuals bearing and keeping arms, during David's time in the wilderness avoiding capture by Saul, "David said to his men, 'Every man gird on his sword.' So every man girded on his sword, and David also girded on his sword" (1 Samuel 25:13).

Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon. Every one of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built (Nehemiah 4:17-18).

So what, you mention nothing about a spear or a gun from the bible there. if it's the word of god, he would have said "a gun" not "a weapon" otherwise, I want my friggin nuke.

You've read the Republic.

indeed. One of my favorite quotes:

"That question, I said, is easily answered: the four governments of which I spoke, so far as they have distinct names, are, first, those of Crete and Sparta, which are generally applauded; what is termed oligarchy comes next; this is not equally approved, and is a form of government which teems with evils: thirdly, democracy, which naturally follows oligarchy, although very different: and lastly comes tyranny, great and famous, which differs from them all, and is the fourth and worst disorder of a State. I do not know, do you? of any other constitution which can be said to have a distinct character. There are lordships and principalities which are bought and sold, and some other intermediate forms of government. But these are nondescripts and may be found equally among Hellenes and among barbarians. "

we've entered the tyrannical phase. Be prepared, or be killed. Simple as that.

exactly. "god given right" is a cliche to get people fired up.

new age of mccarthyism, a play on people's ignorance and fear.

who is trying to take a gun away from mr. severin? does he realize there is no "god" in the constitution?

hoser, your perception of MA is hilarious. i'm not sure what makes someone liberal in your eyes, you would call me a liberal but the right to defend person and property is above all else, who could disagree with that. it's sad that the restrictions in MA discourage many from owning a gun. but gun laws in 'liberal' states like MA are a double-edged sword.

on one hand, everybody should have the right to own weapons equal to what could be used against them. it's the principle this country was built upon, and while we're no longer a frontier colony, it still applies.

on the other hand, if the gun market was unrestricted, they would be as common as any other weapon, and crazy fuckers who would claim it's their god given right would go out and murder (in the name of god). that's why background checks and waiting periods are there.

of course, if someone wants a gun to serve an extreme purpose, they can get it... which is why guns should have no restrictions whatsoever, the other reason being so that we can have some form of protection against anything including our own government. i've lived in MA my whole life, does that sound 'liberal' to you?

Simple answer for this one...guns don't kill people rev...uneducated scumbag minorities with guns kill people. Mass happens to be full of them due to their caring and sharing welfare programs, low income housing messes, and lack of strict laws on anything. Re-instate the death penalty and start killing murders, then watch your murder rate decline.

Up to about the 16th century, it was a crime punishable by death in England and France to even spit at a nobleman. Stealing, rape, and cheating were all also punishable by death. Nowhere in history is anything mentioned about outlawing swords and daggers because of murder. Criminals were dealt with harshly and held responsible for their actions, not the tool used to help carry out the action. We live in an irresponsible society where are children are taught that self-esteem comes before responsibility. You wanna outlaw something? Outlaw shitty parents, shitty government, and lawyers. Stop blaming the guns and start blaming those that pull the triggers. When's the last time you heard of a gun committing a murder? Guns are tools. If a carpenter screws up a job on a house, should we outlaw hammers too? Get my drift?

I understand that it's not that cut and dry. However, read the rest of my original post about Mass. pandering to welfare and low income housing. These things are common breeders of high crime. My point is that we need to stop blaming the guns and start taking care of the root of the problem.

Guns are a fucking tool, that is all. Hammers and knives are a tool. Fucking lasers are a tool. Swords are a tool.

They are inanimate objects. Humans can think and reason. If we started putting all violent criminals to death, and stopped letting lawyers run this country, your murder rates would drop significantly.

Trying to take my guns from me would be like trying to take Rev's cameras from him. A fight to the death.

Hoser, I never once said that guns are the issue. The fact of the matter is that every gun owner SHOULD have to go through safety courses and background checks. Simply denying someone something has never, and will never work. Unless it's a douchebag's drumset.

I actually agree with you in that high-crime, low-income housing areas are the cause of the problem. Factor in unemployment, gangs, high birth rates, and poor education systems and you have an entire society full of people that need to take care of their own, just like you're saying. There is no real answer to this problem, though. I just hate the fact that you word everything you say is either "MASS SUCKS" "YOU'RE STUPID AND LIBERAL" or "UNEDUCATED SCUMBAG MINORITIES

I don't disagree, but the fact of the matter is that the population rises exponentially everyday. While the natural world is the real world, it's slowly becoming the human world. Now starring sociological and climatic problems that we've never had to face.

And why does the population continue to rise? Because of uncontrolled breeding habits. Human beings are grossly irresponsible, in that respect.
