It's the deepest, darkest Zelda game. Zeldas not even in it either.

The fucking face shrine destroys any dungeon in any of the zeldas.

I remember legitimately having no idea what to do in some of the dungeons and spending days trying to figure out what to do. When I went to play all the other 2D Zeldas, none of them seemed quite as hard.

actually i find them better. especially if you play both and get the actual boss/ending.

Seasons and Ages were awesome but they really aren't as good. I'm probably picking up Spirit Tracks next week, too. I didn't play Phantom Hourglass though.

Nope. FFV wasn't realsed in the states (unless rereleased by now). FFIII for snes is really FF6, and FF2 is really FF4.

Well FFII in the US is technically FFIV, FFV got skipped in the US I guess (but then later got released on PS1?), FFIII in the US is technically FFVI. FFVI/FFIII is amazing.

I agree. All this FF talk is making me re-evaluate my opinions on FFs. FFVI really is one of the greatest games of all time. There's a blog/column on Destructoid.com called Memory Card Moments (or something like that) that talks about landmark moments in gaming and I read some of the ones on FFVI and it really is astounding what that game did for the RPG genre. I would almost definitely put it in up top 5 RPGs.

Ff1 was groundbreaking.

No ones mentioned fft or mystic quest yet.

Fuck you. Whatever I said, I didn't make fun of that game. I've played two times all the way through and one time up to the part where Kefka destroys the world. I've always loved that game, I'm just saying I'm bumping it up much further up my list. Which still contains FFX, Chrono Trigger, and Chrono Cross.

It's a little sad that i can't say that i liked FFII and FFIII without someone pointing out to me that in fact those weren't REALLY II and III. Ya know what? Well, play it again. You didn't have to pick that guy, by the way. I picked Guile who is said to be Magus trying to find Schala. There are some badass characters and a lot of goofy ones. The game had a lot of charm and silliness but god damn it was a great game and could be pretty dark at times.

Also, I remember that that CT2 game leaked but it was an incomplete version of the game. Playable, but not perfect.

Ff9 wasn't bad but give me a break. They wanted to revert back to the older style of ff games and only created a wannabe.

for ps1 RPGs, xenogrars take the cake. Easily. EASILY

I've never played IX, I want to play VIII again because I had only borrowed it before and died over and over again at the beginning of the third disk, then had to return it to my friend.

I enjoyed FFIX because its battle system was just like earlier games. Every character had a defined role and therefore you used every character. This helped flesh them out. Compare that to FFVII where any character could do anything it allowed for you to not become attached to the story of each individual character.

i do agree that xenogears is probably the best RPG the ps1 has to offer.

Ff9 is the best ps1 one. Ff7 is incredibly overrated and is the reason why final fantasy is popular now.
But ff3(6) is a masterpiece I. Every way shape and form. It goes beyond just being a video game. It's got the best score, script, and climax.

I think I feel about FFX the way you do about FF3(6 lol). I hate all the faggots who love it for the gay reasons but god damn I got so absorbed into the world of Spira. Play that shit, dude. You'll probably find a way to hate it but I love FFX. It has an even better score than FF6, in my opinion. And FF6 has some of the best music I've ever heard.

I guess I should buy a ps2 or 3. I'm not In The rpg mood right now, though

X was awesome, X2 blew my nads.

X-2 was really a great game. Once you got past all the girliness and j-poppiness you had a great classic FF with some awesome new elements.
