New site? Maybe some day.
I had bioshock on pause. I want to go see what it did. On the non-slims, you can do anything with games that access PSN and trophies. |
which one do you own Rev? |

haha xbox360 reigns supreme. |

Official word from GI:
ORIGINAL STORY: Late yesterday, PS3 owners the world over were struck by a mysterious bug preventing them from logging onto the PlayStation Network and playing many Trophy-enabled games offline. Last night, Sony said they were looking into it, and now they've finally provided some official information...and it's kind of frightening.
In an update on the PlayStation Blog, Sony director of corporate communications Patrick Seybold says that they have "identified that this problem is being caused by a bug in the clock functionality incorporated in the system." Along with a list of the problems (clock resetting, inability to log in to PSN, error messages when trying to start games, etc.), Seybold said that Sony "hope to resolve this problem within the next 24 hours."
Seybold confirms that Slim model PS3s are not affected. If you do have an older PS3 and have tried turning it on during this debacle, prepare to get the chills:
"In the meantime, if you have a model other than the new slim PS3, we advise that you do not use your PS3 system, as doing so may result in errors in some functionality, such as recording obtained trophies, and not being able to restore certain data."
Does this mean that the disappearing Trophies that some users were experiencing (myself included) won't be coming back? If you'll excuse me, I'm going to be crying in the corner for a bit. |

which one do you own Rev? |
I own an original 60GB PS3. |

Who gives a fuck at all about trophies? I have never looked at them and never cared about them. |

yes I am. carina bought it for me when it came out for xmas. |
Fortunately this didn't seem to interfere with my enjoyment of David Arquette's enjoyable performance in Ready To Rumble, which I streamed from Netflix this AM. Phew! |
my bosses son is a total gaming nerd, with a lisp, kind of pathetic really. I saw this online and printed it out and said "hey Greg, you might wanna warn your son about this" He left and called back 20 minutes later and said his son had lost a bunch of trophies for being the best at Beatles Rock Band and was almost in tears, LOLOLOLOLOLOL |
It's been fixed for a couple hours now. FYI |
It was a calendar error. Nothing to do with the PSN. Just a silly hardware/firmware thing. Tons of PS3s that had never been connected to the internet were having the same problems. |
then how is it magically fixed? |
Well, there was no update. Maybe they fixed something with updating the time over the internet but besides that, my PS3 works fine now. Back to play Grandia k bye |
This could explain the clusterfuck I had to endure involving a "bad internet connection" causing a loss during a Madden '09 game I was playing earlier. One where I happened to be up 42-14. Nice. Next time, it's personal. |

OH NO! people might have to use their brains instead of zombifying in front of a video game! |
my system was paused and I just picked up the controller and bioshock worked just fine. |
not being able to play ps3 for 36 hours > having to buy a new 360 |
The BUY AN XBOX 360 thing was valid when the PS3 had no games. Ya, not anymore. |
