Kev from the network here. I'm pretty sure that Anchors Up usually wants 4 bands cuz shows have to end at 10. Like most things, however, I could be very wrong. Shoot them an email, tell them that we're cool with it, and we'll see what happens?
No problem man....bump bump it up! And trust me, all you "metalheads" are gonna really want to see The funeral Pyre live and Early Graves are so loud and heavy that they've never even heard of scene points. And War Animal isn't a band, it really is an armor-clad hellbeast.
I know the "touring" bands have played a lot in the area over the last few days. Hopefully some of you saw them. Got a chance a few nights ago in Boston and was throughly impressed. Tonight will be the last night then they are off only to return prob a long time from now. So if you havent seen them (Early Graves and The Funeral Pyre) then come out, rage, react. If you already saw them then you know how good they are, come out again and pump mad fists.
God fuck I need more sleep. See some of you righteous dudes taaanighj.
The network was missing a bunch of pedals. Pete didn't have his dep noise pedal, but still they sounded awesome. It was a touch stripped down cause of the less noise and no smash, butt still ruled. You could hear a lot more of what they were doing oon the new track. Reminded me of some of the guitar workbon their previous bands. The guitar parts kevin was playing sounded very late 90's safe and sound.
Early graves on the ground at anchors up went over so much better than on the stage at dbh. They killed it. It was also hilarious to watch rustyps and nicktoc moshiiing around.
There was nobody at the Brickhouse show, Rev. They were basically playing for the bands. I would have loved to see the show on a Sunday when they do all ages shows.
this doesnt surprise me considering that was their 4th show within an hour from the last 3
That only works if you can add up all the attendees from all the area shows and it looks like one big show in terms of numbers.
Every show had pretty much nobody, so I can't imagine that having so many area shows is what hurt them. It's not like people said "well, I'll just go to this one instead of that one". People just stayed home. Bummer.
yeah. I was there in spirit. not in the parking lot spirit. I decided to set my alarm to wake up on time, and like a retard, set it for 5AM instead of PM.

the show at midway on sunday was packed, even tho it was a huge show with a number of awesome local bands on it, a lot of them stayed to watch their set on sunday, so i wouldnt say all 4 shows had low attendance. the show on monday had a decent turnout as well

I was at the show on Monday and it didn't look super packed, especialyl by the last two bands. The show on Sunday they were a late addition from what I understand, could be wrong, though I agree the huge promotion bullet for Sun mixed with all the juicy local acts was a massive pull.
I missed this one since I had to work late and was exhausted.
Anyways the The Brickhouse show had 13 paying people. Not sure how many the Church show had, but during Landmine Marathon(another awesome band) I looked around and only like 5 people were watching them. Bummer

yea, they were a late addition, and many people left by the time they went on, but from what i understand the venue hit capacity at one point. my only point was that if they focused on one, maybe two NE dates max, they might have had a better draw.

I actually think the large amount of New England dates had little to do with the draw. People just haven't been going to shows to see touring bands that are not overly hyped.
