I would just like to know where everyone on this board gets their political ideals. I find it interesting that not 1 person is a poli-sci major, in fact, I'll bet that without researching it on the web, maybe 2 people on this board can even name the 3 branches of the U.S. Government, or what kind of Government we are as a whole. And don't say Capitalist or Democratic because that is wrong. We are a Constitution based Federal Republic and I gaurantee that just about nobody on this board knew that. It just pains me to see that so many people who can't even tell me that, have an opinion that they feel so strongly about. These are the same people that bash Bush and any other elected official. I think that if you are going to vote, you should do your research about not only this country but on the Government that presides over it; instead of getting all of your information from the Liberal media dikes. The only reason that they are so Liberal is because it allows them to put whatever they want on the radio and television. You see, bottom line is that people have no true concern for the state of affairs in this country, they simply cast their vote to whomever is going to benefit what THEY do best, and who will make them the most money.

Historically speaking:

Teachers: Democrat Liberals (typically vote for higher education funding within the Senate and House)

Automobile makers: Republican (Republicans tend to pass less restrictions on environmental issues.)

Guns manufacturers: Republicans (Less gun control lobbying, more 2nd Amendment protection.)

Health Care Proffessions: Democrat (Allow for greater Health Care funding)

Drug makers: Republican/Libertarian (keep drug prices higher without Canadian and outside competition)

Computer owners: Republican/Libertarian (Democrats were trying to pass a bill charging you per email, bet you didn't know that)

You get my point yet? Get educated by a source other than your television and friends. Register to vote, and make it count!

By the way, I am a staunch Republican. Due only to the fact that I am a veteran. Democrats historically support veterans less. However, Kerry may have some good ideas. We'll see how that pans out. With the exception of Kerry throwing his medals away, and his flip-flopping on every issue, he doesn't seem like such a bad guy, except that he's from the most Liberal Democrat state in the union, and look at all their taxes!!

As far as hoser's list of things each side spends money on which is all very correct and well informed, democrats are more for spending money on school systems than republicans, which to me is one of the top 2 issues. In order to bring America to its full potential, now and in the future, we need to educate our youth so they can make the nation progress when they get older. I cant see anything more important than that, taxes or whatever. Even if i had no kids, i would still gladly contribute money to taxes to improve schools and art programs.

The school system is comepletely run by liberals anywho, so I wouldn't credit democrats because they give more funding to school programs that i don't agree with.

I'm not disagreeing that school funding is important, but I would vote for a democrat simply for thier more generous aproach to school budgets.
