i smoke alot of pot. i love to play drums while im baked, it realy helps get me into the "zone". problem is when i am not baked i get very frustrated and i just dont seem to have as much fun playing. it seems so mind numbing to just sit there and practice doing rolls or whatever.

basicly my question is: does anyone else need to be high to play? or does anyone smoke or drink to get loose or inspired for their playing?

I can write better if Im stoned, play just as well as I normally do

It don't hurt...but you should be able to do the same thing straight. I notice that when I smoke and play I just get really hungry......

I've been testing this theory for years! For me it depends on the herb I've got. If I have some really good indoor (which I always try to get) it opens many doors in my head and I write a lot of stuff in that state of mind. But, I never feel like I need it to write. Some of the best stuff I've written has been dead sober, pissed off mood, you know. Playing live I feel that a couple beers definitely loosens me up a bit but I do can fine without it.

i cant write baked. i can only function on guitar when straight pretty much. my technicality goes down the friggin drain.

I can honestly say that if you can't write...you can't write...being drunk or baked ain't gonna help too much after that.

i usually always keep a packed bowl next to me when i practice. i get bored playing by myself otherwise (especially since i have to play alot of classical music during the semester)...every clitorture practice we get wrecked before we start, and there is a noticeably difference in the vibe if we don't. everything i or we write is heavily influenced by chronic. i can't do shit playing wise if i drink though...slows my thought process and my physical respnonse way too much. i do seem to come up with a lot of my lyrics when i'm shitfaced though...

100% NO DOUBT IN MY MIND I play better baked....the whole band does xcept hoser, who will fall asleep.
If we dont partake in the ritual puffpuffpass, things just suck floppy donkey dong.
