as far as CONSISTENT thrash, i wouldnt really say testament. I would say exodus, sodom, overkill, and kreator. Best of the best: Exodus.

OVERKILL may have never really sold out or anything, but after Under The Influence, I don't think they can be called "consistent"...

And as much as I love DESTRUCTION, they did do their share of fucking off for years, and the last 3 albums are decent but still average.

SABBAT (Japan) may or may not count, they really aren't a pure Thrash band by any means, but they've been playing awesome Thrashy Metal for 20 years now...

As for famous thrash bands I'm gonna have to say Exodus and Sodom as well. There are a million underground old school thrash bands that haven't changed a bit, but they were never tempted with money and fame like the rest of the thrash bands from the time period.

Possessed would count but I dont think they were around long enough. I might have misunderstood this thread but I thought it was like bands that were around back in the good ol days of thrash and still around today and still kicking ass. That was my interpration.

I didnt mention Slayer cause they havnt released nething "great" since Divine Intervention(1994).

my bad on the sabbat, i saw them on the other gay csdo threads so i thought it was the same. either way the first 2 sabbat albums were awesome for the time!

and john, kreator were semi gay in the 90' but i lost touch after cos so i was just saying that they are still around and last i heard on the live album they were still kicking ass.

i remember liking what i heard of that last slayer album, but i dont own it
