so, my company gave me a laptop may 2003.
I had the motherboard replace over the spring (only one memory bank was working)
after that I was getting continuous "Delay write errors" when it was copying, moving, or saying files. this would cause the computer to freeze for up to a minute.
I ran a defrag and it got worse...
reinstalling winxp did nothing.
now, I'm on the phone right now and I'm getting the motherboard replaced again, the harddrive replaced, and the cpu... possibly the battery.
oops, they just said no to the battery...
that means I have to re-install everything... bumma! |

aaron thinks i need to have myne reformatted bcz i cannot move the laptop once it's on..if i do..it usually freezes up and i have to reboot..worst part is that if someone im's me or whatever, i don't see it and they still see me as logged on

See what you wanna do is replace you 45.8 CRQ with a 233.Z then down load the IX Domgro sphere and switch that with you mother board. Or buy a Series #2 67*Zintax CPU. It's all quite simple. |

Or you can up load a new Zin file to you IX Equilibrium then save it to a 56.mega bite file.

hehe I was just going to say norton ghost is your friend in reply to the first post. I love this fuggin app. goodbye installing windows, updates, drivers, apps, changing settings, blah blah. Now I just keep a norton ghost image of my windows partition and keep it on a dvd-r. Then I just make a list of the major changes I made since the image was recorded.
Takes like 20 minutes to get a fresh copy of windows installed and set up right instead of like 6 hours. |

hey rev my buddy just got a hand me down laptop and there are fucking lines going down about half way down the screen, is there a way he can fix it, or is it junk now?

the LCD is more expensive than the whole laptop.
my advice, deal with it or get an external monitor. |
